My name is Christy. Welcome to my personal story and our company mission.

Where Good Lives. Slow living has always been a personal aspiration. The original movement began in Italy during the 1980s as a response to fast food and mass production. It sought quality over speed, craft over convenience, and intention over impulse.

Choosing Better. My shift started in 2014 when I moved from Portland Oregon to Laguna Beach California to start a new life with the man who felt like home. Together, with his two children and my two children, we built a beautiful life. That move, and the conscious decision to stop chasing someone else’s definition of success, changed everything for me.

A Strong Pull. Surrounded by sunshine, salt air, and a deep desire to feel better in every way, I began to explore the connection between how we live and how we feel. I took long walks listening to books and podcasts on happiness, wellness, and the impact of daily choices. I paid attention to what nourished me and what drained me. And I followed the part of myself that wanted to build something useful, beautiful, and supportive to others too. This became the seed that sprouted the first ideas for our business.

Our Roots. Fast forward to a day in 2023. I woke up completely burned out from my intense and stressful 25-year career and the fast, toxic convenience culture surrounding me. I was finally ready to go "all in" on something slower and more intentional. It is what I had been searching for I knew I wasn't alone. So, I walked away cold, looked forward, and created The Ever Good. 

Becoming The Ever Good: We began our company as Laguna Happy, named for my home, my muse, and the place that inspired me with courage to begin a new life. We have now evolved into The Ever Good. A name that reflects the long-lasting impact of intentional choices and living. We remain rooted in our original mission with expanded support to help you live a natural rooted lifestyle at home and at work, based on the principles of slow living and thriving wellness, freedom, and purpose.
