Brian and Paula Schieber first learned of alpacas in 1998 while looking through a magazine on a business flight, and after a couple of years of research they began their first alpaca farm on an island in the Pacific Northwest, near Seattle.
They opened their first retail web store in 2002 and moved PurelyAlpaca to Ramona, California, in 2016.
