From its design studio in Michigan, Studio Variously creates timeless textiles that connect people, culture and modern living. Founder and creative director Anjali Purohit was born and raised in India and founded the studio in 2016. She brings over two decades of international design experience across India, Italy and the United States.
Studio Variously works to preserve heritage craftsmanship, partnering directly with artisan communities in India, Nepal and Peru, without any middlemen. The studio says its artisan weavers, embroiderers and dye masters are paid fair living wages, take part in local training programs and work in safe environments.
Studio Variously says it works only with natural fibers such as merino wool, silk, linen, cotton and cashmere, in small batch production. It is a WBENC certified women owned business, and Anjali's work has received multiple International Design Awards.
