In Indonesia, which The Artisan & Company calls the islands of natural born makers, its certified artisan partners handcraft every design, it says, from locally sourced materials. The Artisan & Company works directly with these artisan groups and makes sure they receive fair wages for their skills.
Founded in 2011, this woman owned brand makes its pieces through what it calls a small batch production process, aiming to avoid excess inventory and to use all of its source materials. Its pieces range from home decor and furniture to genuine leather handbags and jewelry.
