Zanatany partners directly with artisan cooperatives in Madagascar, providing stable income for rural families, particularly the women who are the backbone of raffia production. Zanatany says every purchase supports not just one artisan but a whole community that depends on this traditional craft, and that it supports more than 250 artisans across 15 rural communities.
