In the heart of Northern California lives a maker devoted to Ayurveda and the art of the self care ritual. Named after the Sanskrit term for purity, PAAVANI Ayurveda calls itself an artisan line of small batch Ayurvedic skincare and wellness products handcrafted in Northern California.

The idea for PAAVANI took root with Leah Klatt and Trudy Collings during their Herbalism Apprenticeship at the California College of Ayurveda, where they found a shared passion for skin and body care rooted in Ayurvedic tradition. In 2014 they started PAAVANI in Grass Valley, California, offering traditional Ayurvedic body therapies alongside their own original formulations, including aromatherapy spritzers and body oils.

Leah and Trudy believe that what suits one person may not suit another, a principle at the foundation of Ayurveda, and that balance, health and beauty are cultivated from within. They formulate with herbs, plant oils and mineral rich ingredients, and they share the wisdom of Ayurveda through educational resources to make it more accessible for everyday life.
